It's just an excerpt from the [EXTS]-section of my SR.INI that I'm giving as an example. Put the commands and paths that match your configuration with a plain text editor.
SC2VIEW is this command:
https://www.msx.org/downloads/sc2view-v092
It has no relation with ODO. The others either. It's just to show that you can define several different commands.
I get it, but how can create a command line that instruct Sofarun to only choose ODO with theses specific games but SofaRom for the rest?
Never mind, I realise now that adding both:
ROM=%sSROM.COM %f ;Run with SofaRom
ROM=A:\UTIL\ODO.COM %f;Run with ODO
...Will give a two options choice in the ROM-menu. I thought they would add each other out
So Mr Chin and Rise out works just fine with ODO
Ninja Savior is apparently known to be troublesome with several loadform, so that one is marked for Carniovre2 flash only in my library.
I gave the other ones a go with Loadrom (v 1.97) as well, but with no luck except for Pennant Race 2 which actually started but then lost all its sprites once the stadium loaded.
I heard about a loader called ExecRom, should I give that one a go as well? Is it compatible in SofaRun the same way? Or maybe it is a defunt project?
---------------
The remaining troublesome ROMS:
AshGuine Story III (ROM django translation) - 128k
Pennant Race 2 - 128k
Devil Golvellius - 128k
KiKi KaiKai - 128k
Manbow 2 - 512k
Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake - 512k
Penguin Kun Wars 2 - 256k
What interface do you have? Do you have cartridges like MegaFlashRom, MegaSRAM, Konami Sound Cartridge, etc?
I'm using a Philips NMS 8250 with Carnivore2. No other cartridges.
Just to be clear, the remaining roms works just fine wih flashing them on Carnivore 2 (some with rcp-files off course). I'm just looking for a way to minimize the amount of roms that will need for this kind of boot up
I don't know if it's possible but if the sound cartridge mode is usable with the SD card at same time you can minimize flashing. This would be the best solution to run SCC ROMs.
Metal Gear 2 and Pennant Race 2 cannot work in a subslot. There is a patch for Metal Gear 2, not sure about Pennant Race 2. You can also try setting the no sub slot option in SofaRun for these ROMs.
Did you already try this?
Edit the SofaRun options for the particular ROM file and set the subslot to off.
Small bug(?) I've seen in SR8. When you go to settings in a game and apply them, you are returned to the game list again, instead to the game options as happened in the previous versios. This second behaviour is more natural for me because after applying changes the most possible action is to Start the game, so it makes sense to come back to the menu.
Thanks.

yes, have tried that as well, made no difference. Both those games get stuck on blue screen and won't boot.
