EP + ZEMMIX NEO DON'T WORK

I am trying to use EP.COM with my ZEMMIX NEO but I have no luck. Everytime I try to load a game in .DSK, it says “ILEGAL FAT CHAIN”. I have tested it with two different SDs formatted win FAT16 with Windows XP.
The reason I want to use EP instead of other loaders is by its feature of no need to concatenate all .DSK. Just executing: EP XAK*.DSK will load all disks of it (XAK1.DSK, XAK2.DSK…). With a SD of only 2GB, I don’t want to start concatenating all my games with multiple disks…
Any solution why EP doesn't work out?

Hello, are you using an SDHC ?.
In that case you should just try using an SD card
a greeting!

No! They are very old only 2gb sd cards.

Did you installl an OCMBIOS.DAT file on the SD card? Is this BIOS with megaSD kernel or Nextor kernel? EP will only work with the megaSD kernel.

I don’t use nextor, so I assume I have megaSD. But how can I install OCMBIOS.DAT? Just putting it on the root of the SD?

Why don't you ask directly to EP author, in case the email is available? Perhaps the DSK image is not contiguous, some loaders doesn't work well with non-contiguous files (like Nextor's Emufile), try to do a defrag to the whole SD and try again.

I don't think that OCMBIOS is the problem, this simply allow you to use real MSX BIOS in your Zemmix.

It is strange... well I think that I must concatenate...
I do not think that EP’s author is ready to be contacted and I do not want to bother him for a soft he did decades ago...

Zemmix Neo and OCM in general can only use the EP.COM tool with the MegaSD/MegaSDHC kernel. The only working version of EP.COM is the version 0.10 that is currently included in the "msxtools" folder of OCM-PLD Pack and was originally supplied with the 1chipMSX CD ROM. The previous version 0.9a does not work on OCM machines because is intended for MegaSCSI cartridges.

YES! The problem was the EP version!
I have used the one in KDL tools and works!!

Great news, and I learned something again (I of course had that version from the KdL pack and did not know older versions existed for MegaSCSI)! Thanks for the info @KdL!
