Wow, really a must-have!
Any updates about this project?
The last post on the Worp3 site about the Orbit is from 21-06-2013....

You are absolute right, I really should update my webpage. But as my time is limited, I rather work on the Orbit project them updating the website. Actually the schematic design of the mainboard is ready, at the moment i'm building a simplified FPGA design so I can verifying if all of the FPGA connection/clocking are correct.
I will try to update my website when I've started with the layout of the mainboard.

I'm usually posting small updates on twitter, so if you like to read updates quicker then maybe you can subscribe to the WORP3 twitter account.

Thank you for the update, I'm glad this project is still going on.
Good luck with the Orbit: it's the best concept ever imo!

Oh, one question though: according to the info on the site, a 2.5mm Headphone jack will be available on the frontside.
Why not the most used 3.5mm version so any regular headphone can be connected to it?

Just guessing:

Almost all computers (at least modern PC's) use a 2.5mm jack, so I would say that's more commenly used than the 3.5mm thing. Besides that, a 3.5mm plug also needs a lot of space inside the casing...

That's not true at all, it would even be hard to find a PC, tablet or laptop with a 2,5mm jack instead of a 3,5mm.
Thereby: there's enough space in the case for a 3.5mm jack connector: it fits also in my iPhone...

Do not confuse 3,5mm with the 6,35mm ones...

If 2,5mm was mentioned on the flyer that that was by mistake, there will be a 3,5mm headphone jack on the front. Thanks for mentioning Wink

Indeed, the project is still alive and kicking but I must say, it's a hell lot more work then i've ever could image when I started the project. Can't wait when the hardware is completed and some more WORP3 members are going to assist me during the development of the software Wink

Cool, no issues here then...

And yes, I can imagine how hard it must be to produce such a complex piece of hardware (and software) from scratch.
I would be delighted to have an Orbit on my desk one day Smile
