@tfh did you test the Rabbian tape? because with a japanese msx-1 machine, run"cas:" doesn't work, and bload"cas:",r says found pro1, second time found main and then resets.
Use cload ;-)
Tfh, your email is valid in your profile?
Yes... Just remove the NO & SPAM Anything @file-hunter.com will work though ;-)
email sent! I cannot say here where to download... ;-)
@tfh, thanks for the hint, maybe rename the file like the others (also the cas file in the zip)?
Yes, I speak about the pale copies from Korea. And if you want to be so radical, you can also delete the links to most Homebrews, many of which also more or less violate copyright. And then we do nothing more.
True.. And you can even take it a few steps further: demos with ripped music and new versions of game music. I wouldn't know where to draw the line though
But in this case I thought it was quite obvious. But feel free to put the links back up. But maybe it would be a better idea if the MRC crew would make some sort of guideline regarding this. This could even be part of the wiki. Of course for most of the links it wil be quite clear, but it could make same more grey areas more clear.
It was clear until now. Usually only links to software from large publishers who still market their old software (or still hope), and also marketed homebrews were not admitted. Then few other links were deleted on demand. It bothers some purists but I think that's fine as that.
Otherwise, if we take extremists at their word, we should also remove the links to the documentation, to WebMSX, the hints to find the downloads and most of homebrews including the MSXdev entries in addition to what has been said above. Then also censor most of the hardware sold without a license. Anyway, we should probably close the site and throw away our MSXs.
@enribar
Thanks for sending the file. I have added Micro vox - Ninja Kopimaru Kun to the download site. I've cut it into a 16KByte version. I'm also not 100% sure it functions as it should, as I have no clue as to what to do with it.
Maybe someone can have a look at it?
@gdx
Well, this might be clear to you, but for me it really wasn't (and still isn't). The fact that noone took the time to answer my question (twice) also didnt help. And what you describe also doesn't seem to be 100% right, looking at previously removed links here on the forum. Anyway, I've restored the links in the wiki. But I still think it could be very usefull if somewhere a clear set of rules of what is/isn't allowed would be a good idea.

So we think it's a dumping tool like the ROM Hunter.
Let's try! :-)
I would not be surprised if this ROM has also a SRAM for temporary storage of the data during the dumping operation. I think that the reboot in emulators is probably due to the absence of SRAM.
The left vertical text on Ninja Kopimaru Kun cartridge artwork says "memo zousetsu" that is "memori zousetsu" (adds memory) with ri hidden by the ninja's arm. It and embedded "expantion memory" message strongly suggest (S)RAM. PCB photo is highly desired!
The right says "shashin tori" (takes photo) and suggests taking screenshot. Middle starts either "a" or "o" and rest is too hidden to speculate, my wild guestimates "are "(that stuff I should not speak), "akan" (don't do that) and "omake" (additional feature). Ninja sitting on ROM and having a tape and disk in his hands suggests copying a rom to tape/disk.
Hex editor identified; it calls itself COPIMARU, EXPANTION (misspelled expansion) MEMORY, COPYRIGHT @ 1986, 0-1FFF is duplicate of 2000-3FFF. I halved it to 8KB and it worked same.
Did it run on real MSX? Didn't startup Main RAM increase? Emulator suggests any MSX with 16kb+ RAM can run it.
many thanks to all for the effort in analysing the dump, this evening I'll try to open the cart and take some photos of the board.
I figured out Kopimaru/Copimaru menu opens if you push SELECT key while seeing the first title. But I haven't managed to dump anything credible with that. It keeps dumping itself LOL! Perhaps Copimaru deserves its own forum entry.
