No, not English-only, but English should be in there. You can have bilingual document in Dutch and English or in Japanese and English (and they should correspond of course).
Look/appearance is important in terms of structure of the document, understanding of it and its readability. Look at how I structure my knowledge base articles.

English only is indeed a bit narrow minded, but seeing so many potentially good web sites in any foreign language have a barrier around them. Most people can read (a bit) English...
Looks are somewhat different than structure... I was mostly refering to Zett who mostly thinks of stunning gfx and logos, which are nice and all, but should never be the priority... Content, readability and structure are important imho...

Why is it such a crime if someone wants to make a new msx site?? (...) also, imho mrc forum isnt really suitable for posting lengthy guides/tutorials because of the edit restrictions (eg embedded picture/external links may change from time to time) and limited search functionality.

It's not that creating new MSX sites is bad, I just think it's more convenient to have the MRC be our one-stop-shop for MSX news, projects and discussions thereof.

That said, I agree the MRC forums aren't really fit for publishing articles, especially if they contain images and / or files for download – but then again, neither are forums in general. This type of material is better hosted as pages on a website, or posts on a blog.

If you need to setup a live copy of an article for discussion before publishing a finished version, there are many better options today, from blogs to personal websites to Google Docs. Discussion of the article's contents could then happen here, and the final version be published on a website created for the club, or elsewhere.

Just make another category/section on this site called " Homebrew Hardware " or some name similar or the like ! Where people can post links, updates etc to their own Homebrew sites. Then their own website can be exactly as they want it ! While still letting everyone in the MSX world know how they're getting on with their individual Homebrew projects !

I would, if I had any idea about where to start.

I know some theory about logic circuits, but I have no practical knowledge at all, and this is something that I've always wanted to learn.
