DSK-PRO 10.0 Don't Mess With Me Again Edition RELEASED!

Improvements:

1 - Hard Mode created. With this special protected mode enabled, it's possible to copy disks with Overlapping Sectors Lock and Clone Sectors Lock.

2 - Millenium BUG found and fixed. Since the first version of DSK-PRO there was a HUGE BUG that made DSK-PRO not to work properly in some machines.

3 - The speed in normal mode is even faster. There is no copier in the world faster than DSK-PRO.

4 - The compatibility with all different msx computers has increased a lot.

5 - Minor bugs fixed.

Don't use another DOS1 instead the one inside the DSK file. If you use another one, it may not load the file DSKPRO.COM correctly.
If you use DOS2 or Nextor, no problems.

I haven't tried it either.. .And I won't... Don't have an MSX, disdrive or any floppy disks...
But I had a good laugh reading the Madonna, Bill Gates & Lewis Hamilton quotes!

it supports 5 1/4 360K?

I had a lot of floppies affected by air-humidity.... maybe I can open those, clean it alcohol, and try to rescue all the information that still wasn't on oxidation bubbles in the disk surface.

I'll try the copy system and will compare it with Fastcopy. Curious if it's really faster.

Don't use the DOS version included in the DSK file
It will freeze with FastDisk 1.8, On a Philips 8250 with 2 drives :S !!!!

Tried:
- DSK File 2 Disk ..... -> FREEZE
- Disk 2 DSK File ..... -> FREEZE
- PDI File 2 Disk ..... -> FREEZE
- Disk 2 PDI File ..... -> FREEZE
- ALL ABOVE IN BIOS MODE ..... -> FREEZE
- Disk 2 Disk WORKS..... YAY !

Sigh.. Piece of CRAP Copier....

I've done some testing and came to some surprizing results:

Copying an unprotected doublesided 80 tracks disk from A: to B: using real disk drives on a Philips NMS8255 with 7MHz turned on and having the auto format of the destination drive switched off.

DSK-PRO 10 (2016): 1:42
Fastcopy 3.0 (1991): 1:05

Creating a disk image from a diskdrive containing a doublesided 80 track disk to compact flash card on a Philips NMS8255 with 7MHz turned on.

DSK-PRO 10 (2016): No result due to not writing the read data to a .DSK file.
Getdisk 2.0 (1993): 1:12
D2F 1.0 (1995) DD disk with a 256KB ROM file on it: 6:59 (D2F crunches the content. Crunched to a 153KB image)
D2F 1.0 (1995): Empty DD disk 3:06 (Crunched to a 6465KB Image)

Now DSK-PRO might be able to write .DSK files, but the logic thinking didn't do the job while the manual didn't give me any hint either.
Pity for DSK-PRO. It lost significantly in the copying speed race from an ancient program and as it didn't write an image - for now - it lost to two other ancient programs as well.
DSK-PRO detected the disk-controller in both my Philips MSX and my Sunrise CF interface but refused to write to either a floppy disk and a CF card. The latter even froze my system.

Maybe a functional command line version would be prevered over a not so functional eye-candy menu. Or write an understandable manual.
Maybe some infestigation on fast copiers would be in place as well before bragging to be the fastest.
Good luck with your infestigation of the (back then) kid's sources on how to copy disks faster ;)

It's written in the manual that the DOS inside the DSK file does not work with file operations. Everything else works.
Use Nextor or DOS2 instead.

And it's written in the Manual that it does not work in all computers with protected mode.
Maybe it would be good to read the manual first...
