And it's great to see that user ghost_jp is actually from Japan. Playing Japanese MSX games only increased my fascination for Japan, and I still need to learn some Japanese myself. Any tips here would be much appreciated!
GDX, are you sure about Monta The Monkey In Arithmetic? Someone wrote the following a few pages back:
いち, に, さん are pronounced Ichi, Ni, San. They mean one, two, three.
さんすう means arithmetic as one of subjects in primary school.
This title is untranslatable keeping the word game. Without it "1, 2, 3" does not make sense. The literal translation of the rest is Monta's Arithmetic but it's a bit light to restitute the meaning.

*Wanpaku is effectively untranslatable. As said previously, it does not mean mischievous or naughty - at a push it's closer to "boisterous".
**Translating only "Pan" misses the point of the title so I would leave it as it is, especially as it's a loan word.
***I think "Magic Castle" is the most literal translation.
****Technically karakuri is more like "traps" here but I think it's good enough.
My 2 cents: instead of Ponpoko Pan use Ponpoko Bun. Bun I guess is the English word パン was loaned from and both makes it clear it’s about bread as well as keeps the intended rime and fun in the title...
