There is still software development for this standard, too
Should that part be mentioned like this:
"Even the whole MSX standard including every MSX computer generation died commercially between 1990-1993, there is still software development for this standard, too......"
Not the best wording, but I mean, I think it should be mentioned, that everything MSX computer ever meant, it has been ALL DEAD at least twenty years. Nobody (except we freaks, of course....) common people cares about such old thing. (except copyright holders, of course) Such mentioning, that every MSX generation has died decades ago, that may help them to get less money greedy.....
If you just point them, that software IS STILL MADE for that old system, they may smell money...... and that may be bad for us. I know, that it is a very little market (worldwide), but you have also mentioned that there are lots of MSX users around the world, so I think it should be mentioned that all MSX generations are DEAD and have been that for two decades now.

I think not! The first part is to explain MSX as concise as possible to an Microsoft employee probably not knowing what these letters stand for, without any judgement about its current state.
The MSX standard includes all versions of that standard, of course, so your proposal is redundant.
I don't like to call a computer standard ''dead'', even if it isn't of commercial interest anymore. I don't like to write manipulative letters either, I want to be as objective as possible. I think that's the most straightforward and hence the best way.
Again, ''still hard- and software development'' and ''system dead'' is a contradiction in itself. I can well imagine that there could be some ''retro-fiever'' someday leading to a considerable reproduction of at least the most outstanding homecomputer systems. Things can be en vogue! This wouldn't affect the use of contemporary systems, of course, it would still be a hobby.
The best thing to get money-greedy is to get much money. The more you get, the more greedy you get. With systems like MSX, you surely can't make much money anymore. The software made for MSX is 8-bit software far below the level of current and future software standards. I think it would be a great gesture if Microsoft would accept our wishes. It is good for the image to give things of the past into the hands of those people who would like to care about and preserve it. Otherwise, things will just catch dust. Microsoft can feel good about giving these software into the hands of those who still appreciate it. I think the homecomputer era was a very special era and we should preserve as much as possible.
The statement, that there is still software developement, too, is needed because otherwise, our letter would be somewhat pointless.
