@Latok
i am wondering why you need this feature
cant think of a situation where i would want to boot a floppy with a flashrom inserted...
It's not the flashrom, it's the SD interface. I want to use the device as my primary data storage. So the cartridge stays in my MSX turboR. But I have several hundred diskettes of which I sometimes want to boot one or two.... With the current kernel, I should first eject the cartridge en then boot from diskette. I don't want to take out the cartridge. I just want to disable the kernels. Like you can do with the Sunrise CF Interface by pressing GRAPH while booting.
Guillian: Yes, hotkey works now, thx And thx for the quick and dirty work around. I'm going to try it.
@Latok: Another work around is just press RESET for 5 seconds. This will disable the cartridge at boot time.
Hey, the RESET option is pretty usable, thx Guillian
Hello, I have two SD cards:
- 1st slot SDcard1 (8GB) 2 partitions of 4GB [FAT16]
- 2nd slot SDcard2 (4GB) 1 partitions of 4GB [FAT16]
With regular start up the first partition of SDcard1 becomes B-drive ( B: )
and automatically the (original) real diskdrive of my MSX becomes C-drive ( C: ).
Now I have changed my AUTOEXEC.BAT and use MAPDRV in it to make the
second partition of SDcard1 C-drive ( C: ) and SDcard2 D-drive ( D: ).
Now I thought my (original) real diskdrive of my MSX would become the E-drive,
( E: ) but this isn't what's happening. I can't acces it anymore.
Anyone ideas to solve this problem? Because I have only three partitions, if
possible I want to keep it this way (direct accesable as I made with MAPDRV).
Thanks in advance for help.
You can't use your real diskdrives because you "overwrited" them with SD partitions.
If you want to keep them, just mount your SD drives on E and F instead of C and D.
Probably next Nextor version will automatically mount both SD slots (and ROM disk)
Guillian, thanks for the answer again.
Hmm... I was thinking something like that. So if I am correct: It''s a Nextor-thing. And real disk drive(s) [if a computer has drives
] will always be C and D (at least for now).
You are right, ray2day.
Next Nextor version probably will map automatically at boot time ROM disk to A:, SD slot 1 to B: and SD slot 2 to C:
