But that game is Laydock 1, not Laydock 2
wow, okay, then there's super Laydock (msx1), Laydock (MSX2) and Laydock 2 !! I've never seen Laydock 2 !
I guess this is laydock 2 ?? T&E Soft's: Laydock 2 - Last Attack
There are several Laydocks.
Laydock 2 Last attack only runs on MSX2+ and higher...
There's also a 4th game : http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/tesoft/ahparmyadock/re...
This game is not the same if you play it on MSX2 or on MSX2+ !
I didn't count that one because of the name...
I have just received my cartridge and was hoping to use it to transfer programs/files developed on my PC to real MSX1 floppy disks. However, booting with the cartridge in cartridge slot A and the floppy interface in slot B results in "Unable to read from drive A:" (or something similar). Does this mean my floppy drive cannot be accessed while using the cartridge?
My preferred MSX1 machine (I don't own an MSX2) is a CX5MII/128. However, the cartridge thinks this is an MSX2, so loads Nextor and then displays garbage - I am guessing that this is because of the VDP chip and that it is expecting VRAM to either be larger or located elsewhere. Does this mean it cannot be used on a CX5MII/128?
About the ""Unable to read from drive A:" problem. I think it is related to Nextor. Try to boot pressing "1" to force DOS1 and check if you can use your floppy drive in that way.
About the garbage problem. That is probably due to MultiMente, that does not check if the computer is an MSX2 or higher.
You can boot pressing "3" to boot in BASIC. From there, type "CALL SYSTEM" to go to Nextor/DOS2
Also, you can erase the ROM disk or install a new one without MultiMente.
Anyone tried msx commander instead of the installed mm?
I would love a 2 pane view....
I have not tried msx commander yet, but I know OeiOeiVogeltje has the M filebrowser running successfully.
