Hi all,
I'm trying to get Outrun to run on my msx2. I have a 256K .rom file, which works perfectly with OpenMSX, but when I start it using loadrom on my msx2, it just says:
0......123456789ABCDEFG
and then it just sits there for a few moments, and then it reboots.
Now I'm assuming these numbers/letters are 16k memory pages being loaded, so I guess it only crashes after loading it. My msx2 has 1MB of memory, so that should be enough (I read somewhere else on this forum I need more memory than just the 256K). Is there anything I can do to make it actually start?
I also read (on www.outrun.org/new/msx.html) a file names outrun.dsk should exist somewhere. They have a dead link to it in any case. It should contain a loader in Basic, so I'm guessing its a regular binary, not a rom file. Does anyone have that?
I someone has an original version and is willing to sell it to me, that'd be very cool as well.
