I tried but I could not get a reading, the prongs don’t go in deep enough I guess…
When I put the prongs of my multimeter into the wall socket, after I wriggled them around a bit at different angles they eventually made contact and I got a reading.
Btw, putting prongs into a wall socket felt very wrong 
.
To measure the output I left the power connector of the FS5000F2 slightly out (but still stable) so I could connect to the pins on the connector…
I’m always careful with how I hold type A plugs, since the danger of an electric shock seems quite high. But for cases like this it is convenient .
All 5 converters are on their way to new owners. I have ordered 8 more, the price will be €50 for these (due to taxes which somehow Amazon absorbed into their price, which may explain their price increase

My GT always made a humming sound.. I always thought it was something loose in the machine itself..
But now it's gone!
I used a generic us step down converter that gave 117v. The new one just 103.. much better!
