SFG Cartridge by RBCS Parts Question

I am building the SFG cartridge created by RBCS, There is capacitor value C20 after the amplifier AU1. The value is 0.027uf (27nf) I wonder what will be the next value that will be better to replace that since the 27nf SMD is not easy to find for me. I can get 33nf or 22nf. Is the lower capacitor value helps more with noise? So, can I go with 22nf ? or 33nf? or does it have to be 27nf?

I would appreciate if someone who has knowledge in that field let me know.

I think 33nF will work just fine.

Few more questions, easy ones but I don't wanna waste the time spent on building the cartridge.

How do I connect the JTAG? which direction? For the 5V source, does it matter where I get it? What is the best practice for that?

Thanx Alexey, I managed to flash the SFG successfully. It starts the SFG software but I hear air noise. I noticed I have one capacitor (C16) that wasn't sitting on the solder properly, I will fix it and try again and see if that fixes the noise issue. All the resistors and capacitors close to the extension board that fits on the top have not been installed since I won't install the extension board. I am assuming I won't need them, right?

Another thing, I hope the YM3012 chip that I got actually works, I couldn't source one except from China, so I don't know if that is an issue here too!

Ok, I fixed the capacitor and installed the remaining capacitors and resistors. I no longer hear the airy noise. But I am not hearing anything from the cartridge when I play using vgmplayer. It detects the cartridge as sound mapper but no sound coming out of it! I tried that on my Sakhr AX-370. I will try the cartridge on my Yamaha 503II and see how it goes.

The SFG-5 cartridge runs the software when I use call musica but I don’t hear anything. I dont have music keyboard to test further but it should at least play some files and music.

I have an update about this. After a lot of troubleshooting I decided to change YM3012 and YM2151 chips, that made the SFG works. I can't tell if both chips were bad or not. I suspect that YM3012 is fake since I got it from China. I sourced out another one from trusted source.

When I start the SFG using the command Musica, it works all the way to the software and then there I press F1 to move to that menu and after that I click on F5 and the beat starts and I can change around the settings and I can hear more sounds.

My question is, are there any games who can use the SFG to enhance the music? If so, what are they?
